Chapter 1 - Definition and objectives of the NAFM

Article 1 - Definition of the NAFM

The North Atlantic Federation of Micronations (NAFM) is a supranational partnership between micronations.

Article 2 - Official languages

The official languages of the NAFM shall be English, German and Russian.

Article 3 - Symbols of the NAFM

The Flag of the NAFM shall be a thick dark blue stripe at the top, a small white line near the bottom, and a red line at the bottom, in the centre of the dark blue section will be a white circle. The motto of the NAFM shall be "Unity and Equality"

Article 4  - Objectives of the NAFM

a. The NAFM is to promote peace and prosperity as well as partnership between member nations.

            b. The NAFM is also to help protect NAFM territories.

c. The NAFM is also to help its member states pass new policies and laws.

d. The NAFM will uphold its policies when interacting with other nations/organizations.

Chapter 2 - The NAFM's institutions

Article 5 - Main institutions and their uses

The following is a list of the NAFM's institutions and their uses:

The NAFM Parliament - The NAFM Parliament is to pass the laws and policies created by the NAFM commission, all laws and policies passed will be done by a majority vote. If there is ever a deadlock on a vote the NAFM Chairman makes the deciding vote.

The NAFM commission - The NAFM Commission is used to create laws and policies that will be proposed to the NAFM Parliament for a vote.

The NAFMDA – The NAFMDA (North Atlantic Federation of Micronations Defence Agency) will be responsible for the protection of NAFM territories, it will also be used to help citizens of member nations in disasters.

Article 6 - Representatives

a. Each member nation will send at least 3 representatives to the NAFM Parliament (the maximum is 5).

b. Member nations will also send at least 3 representatives to the NAFM Commission (the maximum is 4).

c. Each member nation will send at least 2 representatives to the NAFMDA (the maximum is 4).

Chapter 3 - Defence of the NAFM

Article 7 - Defence

The NAFMDA (North Atlantic Federation of Micronations Defence Agency) will be the main defence force.

Article 8 - Recruitment of the NAFMDA

Each member state is responsible for the recruitment of soldiers in the NAFMDA, service in the NAFMDA will be part time, meaning that the NAFMDA army can be called up when needed.

Article 9 - Objectives of the NAFMDA

The NAFMDA will be called up when a member nation’s sovereignty is threatened, it can also be called up in natural disasters.

There will be two main battalions for the NAFMDA: Fristehen Battalion and Kaznia Battalion, these two battalions will be responsible for the protection of NAFM territories that are closest to them.

However, when a new member joins, they will have to create their own battalion.

Article 10 - Leadership of the NAFMDA

Each year the NAFMDA will have a vote for a leader of the NAFMDA, the leader will have the title “NAFMDA General”. There must however, be a majority vote for a NAFMDA General candidate, if there is a draw, the NAFM Chairman shall cast the deciding vote.

Chapter 4 - NAFM membership

Article 11 - Standards for membership

The standards of membership are:

a. The applicant nation must be real world based and have actual physical territory.

            b. The applicant nation must agree to and sign the Treaty of the NAFM.

            c. The applicant nation must have troops for their own NAFMDA force.

            d. The Nation must be located in Europe or North America.

Once the NAFM receives the application the NAFM parliament will have a vote.

Article 12 - Standards for observer status

The standards of observer status are:

            a. The applicant nation can be located any where in the world.

b. The applicant nation must be real world based and have actual physical territory.

            c. The applicant nation cannot take part in the NAFMDA.

Once the NAFM receives the application the NAFM parliament will have a vote.

Article 13 - Expulsion

A member can be expelled from the NAFM, only if there is a majority vote in the NAFM parliament. When a member nation is expelled, they will lose their NAFMDA battalion and other NAFM possessions (with the acception of policies that they have adopted).

Article 14 - Leaving the NAFM

Any member nation may freely leave the NAFM, however by doing so, they lose their NAFM battalion and all other NAFM possessions (with the acception of policies they have accepted). The NAFM does not need to vote on a member nation leaving, all that is required is notice.

Chapter 5 - NAFM leadership

Article 15 - Leadership

            a. The leader of the NAFM will be called "NAFM Chairman".

b. The position of NAFM Chairman will be rotated between member nations alphabetically each year.
